Both language versions are written for Swedish law. The English version is for counterparties, banks or colleagues who do not read Swedish — it is a translation of the same document, not a different one.
What the power of attorney covers

When to use it
The template is written for Swedish law and fits when a person or a company is to be represented in limited matters — at a general meeting, in contact with Bolagsverket or Skatteverket, or in individual banking matters.

When this template is not enough
Four situations where you should speak to a lawyer before using it:
- The power of attorney is to cover real property, share transfers or pledges
- The principal is a legal person and the authority reaches beyond day-to-day administration
- The agent may end up representing both sides of the same transaction
- The power of attorney is to be used abroad or against a foreign counterparty

Frequently asked questions
Do I get it in both Swedish and English?
Yes. Every purchase includes both language versions, in Word and PDF. You do not choose a language at checkout.
Can I edit it?
Yes. The Word file is editable and built to be adapted — fields to fill in, powers to tick or delete, and space for your own wording.
Does it need to be witnessed?
Witnessing is not required by law for an ordinary power of attorney, but banks, authorities and counterparties often ask for it. The template includes space for two witnesses. The agent should not be a witness.
Can I use it more than once?
Yes, within your own organisation. The licence covers your company’s own use — it does not cover reselling or distributing the document.
What if the document is updated?
When we publish a new version it replaces the file on your account. Your download link always gives you the current version.
