Legal counsel for the public sector
Municipalities and authorities introducing AI answer to four things at once: procurement law, the AI Act’s duties for deployers, data protection in the exercise of public authority, and public access to official documents. We help you put all four in place before the system goes live.
Book a meetingWe know how public organisations work
Procurement cycles, delegated authority, records management and political accountability shape what is possible. We work inside those constraints rather than around them.
Procurement & contracts
AI requirements written into the tender, not after it.
Your duties as deployer
What the AI Act asks of you when someone else built the system.
Data & transparency
Personal data, official documents and the right to insight.
Do the AI Act rules apply if we only buy the system?
Yes. Using an AI system makes you a deployer, with duties of your own: human oversight, monitoring, staff competence and information to the people affected. For high-risk systems, public bodies also assess the impact on fundamental rights before the system is put to use.
Can we put AI requirements into a procurement?
Yes, and it costs far less than correcting it afterwards. We translate the legal requirements into qualification requirements, contract terms and follow-up, so the supplier carries what the supplier should carry.
Are AI logs and prompts official documents?
Often, yes. What the authority creates or receives can become an official document, and then registration, disclosure and secrecy rules apply. We go through this before the system is in place, not after the first request arrives.
